Roy Englebrecht announced the signing of undefeated heavyweight “Vicious” Vincent Thompson to Roy Englebrecht Promotions on a five-year promotional contract.
Thompson (11-0, two KOs) joins fellow heavyweight Alexander Flores on the Roy Englebrecht Promotions roster. Thompson will make his debut, Thursday, Dec. 6 against Giovanni Sarran on the Fight Club OC show at The Hangar.
“To have the opportunity to sign and promote Vincent Thompson at this point in his career is an honor for my company,” Englebrecht said. “Vince brings a great support group with him in his co-managers Sam DiTusa and Cal Thompson, so we are already halfway there. I believe Roy Englebrecht Promotions now has two of the top five heavyweight prospects in the country in Vince Thompson and Alexander Flores, and the sky is the limit for both fighters.”
Flores (10-0, eight KOs) will also be on the Dec. 6 card, facing Matt Hicks.
Thompson, 29, turned professional in August of 2009, opening his career with a four-round victory over Freddie Miller. All of his fights have been in his native Washington.
